Decades of Expertise & Professionalism
I’m Douglas Reeves, and I’m running for the Plano City Council, Place 2 to bring transparency and accountability to our municipal government on behalf of our local community.

Family
My wife and I have been married for 44 years. We have lived in Plano for 31 years, where we raised our three beautiful daughters.

And now, I am blessed to be able to mentor my 5 grandchildren!

Faith
My faith is what motivates and directs me! I attended St. Edwards University in Austin, I have a Bachelor of Theology Degree from International Bible College in San Antonio TX, and I worked toward a Pastoral Counseling Degree at Houston Graduate School of Theology.
We attend Stonebriar Community Church.

Service, Leadership and Experience
I have dedicated my life to serving God through serving others.
I served our country in the US military.
I served my community for 31 years as a successful small business owner through the vocational school for security officer training that I founded, Reevco Security Officer Institue/Lincoln American.
I also founded and directed a nonprofit 501(c)3, My Brothers Helper INC., for 28 years. I assisted approximately 4,000 handicapped adults with job training and job finding skills (most were referred by the Texas Rehabilitation Commission). We also operated a counseling center, and half-way homes for people suffering from alcohol and drug addictions, and people diagnosed with HIV.

Community
After retirement, I continued to serve my community as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), for abused and neglected children, as an Election Judge, and as a campaign volunteer for countless candidates, spanning decades.
As a leader, I was chosen to be a Delegate to the State Party Convention and elected to be the Precinct Chair for precincts 89 and 235, as well as the House District Chair for HD66.

At the Plano City Council, and through other governing organizations, I have advocated for many policies designed to improve our quality of life, security, and freedoms.
Hobbies
I enjoy sports, and presently engage in golf, pickle ball, rock climbing, kayaking, weight training, cycling, walking and running.

I enjoy time outdoors with family and friends.

I appreciate diverse genres of music, and play the guitar, violin, and mandolin.
